From the Smoky Mountains to Douglas Lake, East Tennessee is packed with incredible RV camping. Here are our favorite spots β and a few tips for when something goes wrong on the road.
East Tennessee Is RV Country
Between the Great Smoky Mountains, the lakes, and the Parkway corridor of Pigeon Forge, you could spend a whole season RV camping here and not run out of places to stay.
Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg
The busiest RV corridor in Tennessee. Expect full hookups, tight sites, and plenty to do β but book early in peak season. This is also where we get the most 'something broke on our trip' calls.
Townsend β The Peaceful Side
Smaller, quieter, and closer to the national park. Limited local repair options, so a mobile tech is often your best bet if something fails.
Douglas Lake / Dandridge
Lakeside RV camping with great fishing and easy access to Jefferson City and Morristown. Popular with full-timers.
Cosby & Pittman Center
Mountain terrain, fewer crowds, and steeper access roads. If your rig has a slide or leveling issue on a slope, call before you drive.
Wherever you camp in East Tennessee, if something breaks, CampTech comes to your site β no need to break camp and tow.
